It depends on which rep answers. I was told by both an online and a telephone CSR that this battery works with it. Other people were also told the same thing.<BR/><BR/>This laptop is a clone of HP branded models, so perhaps the CSR in question was only looking for Compaq-branded batteries for it?

I just spoke with a representative of HP who told me that there are no compatible 12-cell batteries for this model. I even had him check this particular model number and he still said no.
